PRINCIPAL (UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF EDUCATION)
Essential:
1. Master‟s degree in Arts/ Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce with minimum 55% marks (or
an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized University and ;
2. M.Ed with minimum 55% marks.
3. Ph.D. in Education or in any pedagogic subjects/relevant discipline(s) offered in the institution concerned
with evidence of published work and research guidance.
4. Associate Professor/Professor/Principal with a total experience of 15 years of teaching/research/
administration in Universities, Colleges of Education and other Institutions of Higher Education out of
which at least 08 years teaching experience in a Secondary Teacher Education Institution/Department of
Education/Department of Physical Education.
5. The period of active service spent on pursuing Research Degree i.e. for acquiring Ph.D. degree
simultaneously without taking any kind of leave may be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of
direct recruitment/promotion to the post of Associate Professor and above.
